The Ghana Football Association and the Federación Mexicana de Fútbol (FMF) have announced the location for Ghana’s friendly match against Mexico.
The Black Stars are set to play against Mexico in a friendly match in October 2023.
As per the Ghana Football Association’s statement, the game will take place on Saturday, October 14.
After several weeks, the two football associations have confirmed that the Charlotte Bank of America Stadium will host the MexTour International friendly match on October 14. The match will feature the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup champions Mexico against African powerhouse Ghana.
This match is part of Mexico’s preparations for the CONCACAF quarterfinals, which are scheduled for November 2023.
Three days later, on October 17, the Black Stars will also play against the United States in another friendly match at Geodis Park in Nashville.
These matches will provide an excellent opportunity for the Black Stars to assess their readiness for the upcoming 2023 AFCON, which will be held in Ivory Coast in 2024.
Furthermore, these friendly matches will serve as crucial preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, which are set to begin in November 2023.
